The Joint International Congress on Animal Sciences 2023 took place on August 30th 2023, where we were glad to disseminate the project’s results.
Arthi Amalraj from Ghent University presented on “Biosecurity gaps in 7 major poultry producers in EU: A farmer’s perspective” at this congress with European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP), the World Association for Animal production (WAAP) and Interbull. During this presentation she discusses about the use of the Biocheck.Ugent as a tool for coaching farmers towards improving biosecurity. A poster on “Coaching poultry farmers towards better biosecurity compliance” was presented by Arthi Amalraj along with factsheets (on Coaching and Biocheck.Ugent) and leaflets in both English and French at session 48.
