If the farmer does not change clothes when enterering each building (which is not a good biosecuirty practice ! ), can he transmit red mites from a building to another ?

    I’m also curious about this!

We know that the mite is spending most of its time in the environment, but if the farmer does not change clothes between two buildings (that is of course not a good biosecurity practice) , there may be a risk that some mites are carried from a building to another through the clothes, especially in case of high infestation, right ?

That is correct indeed. Mites can be transferred from one building to the other on people as well as equipment. Therefore it is recommended to not swap equipment such as brooms between houses, always move from a house with the lowest infestation to the ones with high infestation and pay attention to biosecurity in general.
