Highlighting that the process of cleaning and disinfection is a fundamental tool in the control of microorganisms, of importance in animal health and public health, we are facing a severe problem since, in recent times, we are obtaining a high resistance to microorganisms to authorised disinfectants, and therefore, a perpetuation of microorganisms at field level. In addition, the use of the most effective disinfectants on-farm is becoming more and more restricted. In your opinion, where should cleaning and disinfection protocols be directed to prevent the perpetuation of pathogenic micro-organisms on our farms? Thank you very much for answering our questions and sharing your experience with us.

This is a very important and interesting concern which is indeed worth another discussion moment to come in the future (as we are only discussion today about the practices associated with the hygiene lock). Stay tuned !

I am interested by this comment. Would you mind sharing references on the rise of resistance to disinfectants?
