The 11th of March, the Netpoulsafe forum will welcome Dr Clara Marin for our next discussion moment about the role of biosecurity in poultry farms for the control of the most important food-borne pathogens in Europe: Salmonella and Campylobacter.

Dr Clara Marín (Valencia, 1981) received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine with European Mention from Universidad CEU-Cardenal Herrera (Valencia, 2009), based on the study of the epidemiology zoonotic microorganisms transmitted to humans by food consumption. She has been member of the European Board of Veterinary Science since 2014.

She has participated in the UK national studies for the control of Salmonella and Campylobacter, including prevalence studies and the development of on-farm cleaning and disinfection tools to avoid zoonotic pathogens. She joined the Veterinary Faculty of Valencia as a full-time Professor in 2009 and began a new research group called “Improvement in Food Safety in Productive System and its Products”, characterized by continued collaboration with the agri-food sector. This research line specializes in the control of zoonotic microorganisms and the development of alternative tools for antibiotics. She created also an Instagram account (CAMPYSALMO) to transfer the knowledge acquired to society.
